Walk of Fame Film Festival – Official Rules & Guidelines

1. Eligibility - Films must have been completed after January 1, 2022

- All genres (narrative, documentary, animation, experimental, etc.) and lengths (shorts, features, series episodes) are accepted.
- Films may not have had a theatrical release in Los Angeles or be publicly available on major streaming platforms (exceptions for private Vimeo/YouTube links).
- International films are welcome but must have English subtitles if not in English.

2. Submission Guidelines
- Via FilmFreeway or the festival’s official website.
- Secure online screener (private Vimeo/YouTube links preferred).
- Press kits, posters, and director bios encouraged but not mandatory.

3. Selection Process
- Films are reviewed by a pre-screening committee, then final selections are made by the festival jury.
- Selected filmmakers will be notified via email by Notification Date.
- The festival does not provide feedback on rejected submissions.

4. Screening & Attendance
- Selected films must provide DCP or high-quality digital file by 1 week before Screening Deadline
- Filmmakers are strongly encouraged to attend (discounted filmmaker passes available).
- The festival reserves the right to adjust screening dates/times if necessary.

5. Awards & Prizes
- Winners are chosen by a jury of industry professionals.
- Awards include Golden Footprint (Best Picture), Rising Star (Best New Director), Spotlight (Best Actor/Actress), etc.
- Some awards may include cash prizes, distribution opportunities, or mentorship programs.

6. Rights & Permissions
- Filmmakers retain all rights to their work.
- By submitting, filmmakers grant the festival the right to:
- Screen their film during the festival.
- Use clips (under 2 min) and promotional materials for marketing.
- Filmmakers must have full rights to all music, images, and content in their films.

7. Code of Conduct
- The festival is committed to inclusivity—no hate speech, discrimination, or harmful content tolerated.
- Films with explicit content (violence, nudity, etc.) must be flagged during submission.
- Attendees and filmmakers must adhere to professional and respectful behavior at all events.

8. Refunds & Disputes
- Submission fees are non-refundable. - The festival reserves the right to disqualify any film that violates rules. - Disputes will be resolved at the festival director’s discretion.
